Cellular Automaton mk1

This is my first attempt at a cellular automaton, using a two dimensional array to store the on/off status of the cells, and two loops – one to turn cells on and off according to the growth rules, with another to colour them.  I haven’t quite got my head around the mathmatics of checking for ‘on’ cells in negative directions so I can only make it grow up-wards and left-wards from the corner for the time being…
